Here are my stats:

I am 5’5 1/2
I currently weigh 152lbs

I started working out at the beginning of December, when I weighed 163lbs.

My goal is to weigh 130lbs
I’ve given myself a year to loose the weight the right way by eating healthier and going to the gym consistently.

I go to the gym between 4-5 times a week, and I workout for one hour each time. For the next 4-6 weeks my gym routine consists of 20 minutes of lifting weights. I pick 4 machines that work 4 different areas of my upper body and stomach. I work on my back, shoulders, arms and abs. Then I run on the treadmill for 20 minutes, I run like I’m running for my life. Then I use the stair master for the last 20 minutes.

If you have kids that are over weight or possibly obese help them loose weight. Make it a family life style change. When you go grocery shopping skip the chip isle and the cereal isle and head over to the produce section. Buy more raw veggies and fresh fruit and less sweets and treats. Don’t buy frozen food like hot pockets, tv dinners, pizzas, burritos, or waffles. Frozen foods are PACKED with sodium, even the “lean” meals or healthy choice are packed with sodium. Don’t buy pre-packaged meat, go to the deli section of your grocery store and get your meat there. Even though meat from the deli spoils faster than pre-packaged meat it is healthier for you. STOP DRIVING THRU FOR BREAKFAST, LUNCH & DINNER!! All fast food is bad food. If you’re pressed for time in the morning make your lunch or your kids lunches the night before that way you can grab your food and go. Cut out juices and sodas!! Juice and soda are loaded with calories. If you or your kids want something sweet to drink try drinking water with Crystal Lite!! There are plenty of different favors to choose from. School can be rough and kids can be vicious especially to kids who are on the heavier side. Making simple changes like these will go a long way!! Try it out and let me know how it goes :D

Make sure to keep track of the weight you’re loosing and ALWAYS measure yourself!! Remember: muscle weighs more than fat so even if you gain a few pounds measure your body to see how many inches you’ve lost!!

Tropical Fruit Parfait —- In a small glass, or a mason jar if you’re on the go, layer 1/2 cup fruit cut into 1/2-inch cubes (kiwis, mangos, and pineapples are nice) with 1/4 cup plain low-fat yogurt. Top with 1 tablespoon toasted sliced almonds. Makes 1 serving (100 calories). — use greek yogurt

Gym.

I think I’m going to change up my workouts. I want to rotate cardio into my gym sessions. From now on I will lift weights one day and do an hour of cardio the next. That way I will workout every part of my body in one session and let my muscles relax the next!!

If you don’t like lifting weights and prefer to do more cardio filled workouts something that I discovered at my gym are ZUMBA classes!! Zumba classes are usually an hour to an hour and a half long. They are non-stop dance classes!! My instructors play a ton of latin music, and both men and women enjoy the classes!! Try it out!!
