Just because that chick that’s been running on the treadmill for an hour is wearing Nike booty shorts and her sports bra doesn’t mean you have to!! I personally wear Nike combat pro dry fit spandex (they’re like spandex capris) a Nike sports bra, Nike free run 2’s, and Nike dry fit tshirts. I’m all about Nike when I’m at the gym, lol. I also use a incase armband for my iPhone. I used to wear sweatshirts and sometimes sweats to the gym and to be honest I looked like a hobo. I feel like if you invest a little money into your gym clothes 1. You’ll have more of an incentive to go, 2. You’ll feel good while you workout, and 3. You’ll look good!! I feel great when I workout, no I don’t look like a fit Nike model and yes I have a long way to go but damn it I don’t care!! I stopped wearing hobo clothes because I would get super hot and leave the gym early and I bought new clothes so that I would continue to go (workout clothes can be expensive!!) make sure YOU’RE comfortable, and feel good. It’s all about YOU and YOUR workout!! You sweat, you feel pain, you feel tired and sometimes you may even feel like quitting. DONT QUIT, keep sweating, and feel good about your gym clothes!!
So far this has been a tough week.
I didn’t go to the gym twice this week, Monday night I went out to a local club Marquee and Tuesday I had a terrible hangover. My hangover food of choice was a salad, steal fries and a lamb gyro. Needless to say that did not workout in my favor. I went to the gym last night and weighed myself…. I gained 3lbs. 3lbs may not seem like a lot, and it may seem stupid that I’m posting this but I can’t really talk to anyone about it in real life. Everyone would probably think that I’m being over dramatic or that I’m becoming obsessed with the gym. I have a goal that I am trying to reach and it sucks that I set myself back. I did this to myself. Now, I haven’t measured myself just yet (I just ate a BLT) but I will definitely do so before I go to the gym tonight. Loosing weight and getting into shape has its ups and downs, and by no means am I going to let this 3lbs stop me this is just more motivation!!

I started working out at the beginning of December, when I weighed 163lbs.
My goal is to weigh 130lbs
I’ve given myself a year to loose the weight the right way by eating healthier and going to the gym consistently.
I go to the gym between 4-5 times a week, and I workout for one hour each time. For the next 4-6 weeks my gym routine consists of 20 minutes of lifting weights. I pick 4 machines that work 4 different areas of my upper body and stomach. I work on my back, shoulders, arms and abs. Then I run on the treadmill for 20 minutes, I run like I’m running for my life. Then I use the stair master for the last 20 minutes.
When you’re trying to loose weight and you’re motivated don’t let other people deter you from your goals. Anyone who physically weighs more than you will always tell you that you look great….You look great to them because they want to look as thin as you. What you want to do is look in the mirror and know that you look great. Just so long as your overall goal is NOT to look like the girl in the photo to the left. Your main goal should be to live a happy and healthy life, just because you’re skinny doesn’t mean that you’re healthy. Make your body look how you want it to look and don’t let others discourage you. In the end, you’re the one who is busting your butt to get into shape, you’re the one running/jumping/doing lunges/sit ups/lifting weights/swimming/jump roping/climbing the stair master etc. JUST YOU. Thank those people for telling you that you look great BUT don’t stop there, keep working out until YOU know that you look great!!
Loosing weight is a psychological battle. When you’re watching what you eat, your mind will tell you to eat EVERYTHING you shouldn’t eat…sweets, soda, cake, chips, candy, etc. Fight the temptations and eat veggies. Eating veggies is better than eating tons of fruit because fruit has natural sugars.
